Part-Time | 100% Remote

This role is focused exclusively on the execution and analysis of clinical protocols. You will be responsible for the integrity of the data and the well-being of the participants during trials.

Company Description

The Neuro Recursion Institute (NRI) advances research on neurological feedback loops that contribute to chronic anxiety and motor urgency in neurodivergent populations. Through translational neuroscience and non-invasive neuromodulation, NRI develops protocols that target pathological signaling and interrupt recursive neurological cycles, significantly improving quality of life for individuals with neurodivergent conditions.

Role Description

The Clinical Research Associate will design, conduct, and publish research studies related to neural feedback loops and neuroplasticity. You will be scheduled to conduct clinical trials via video calls, facilitating the direct application of NRI protocols. Responsibilities include data collection and analysis, developing methodologies, reviewing academic literature, and contributing to the design of clinical protocols. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and active participation in peer-reviewed publication processes are integral to this role.

Research Focus Areas

  • Neurological conditions; Tourette Syndrome, OCD, ADHD, and motor urgency.
  • Mood and crisis; Depression, suicidal ideation, and acute emotional distress.
  • Behavioral patterns; Addiction, phobias, and habit reversal.
  • Relationships and development; Teens, families, and couples and attachment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, conduct, and publish research studies related to neural feedback loops.
  • Facilitate and conduct clinical trials via video conferencing for the focus areas listed above.
  • Manage data collection, analysis, and the development of research methodologies.
  • Review academic literature and contribute to the scientific design of clinical protocols.

Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in Neuroscience, Neurobiology, Psychology, or a related field; a Doctoral degree (PhD) is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience in research design, data collection, statistical analysis, and academic publishing.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace tools and video conferencing software.
  • Willingness to be trained and certified in the NeuroRecursion methodology.
  • Fluency in English is required; however, we are very interested in your native language and the potential to conduct research in your language.
